On 19 and 20 September in The Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management of the WUT will be held HERE (Higher Education Reform Experts) Seminar Qualifications Frameworks: What are they, how do they work, what is their impact?
Participants are 70-80. Experts from more than 20 countries of the Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood region. The experts have been selected by their national ministries, and can have very different profiles and background, as may be officials from ministries, staff and students from higher education institutions, staff of QA agencies, bodies in charge of recognition etc.
Topics of the meeting will concern among other:
What is a QF? What is it for?
- Differences in qualifications systems and tools to create understanding
- Systematic approaches to learning and qualifications, and the ability and limits of QFs in pushing education reforms;
- Briefly touch upon the real and perceive relation to quality assurance
- Address whether QF are about “outcomes” and/or standards?
- Reference the situation in Europe: Why are there two regional QFs? What is the impact of this?
